This Monday he passed away 73 years and after fighting for several years against a hard disease, the Black Horacio Fontova, renowned musician and actor.

The sad news was confirmed by the social networks of the National Institute of Music (INAMU), entity that wrote “we regret reporting the death of our dear colleague Horacio‘ El Negro ’Fontova, after fighting for years, like the warrior he always was, with a disease. For INAMU it is tremendously painful to dismiss our brother and companion from so many struggles and joys. We will never finish thanking you for your commitment to music and to just and noble causes ”.

Fontova died in the morning hours of this Monday in the Sanatorium Finochietto, where he was interned.

The artist reached his peak of popularity in the 90s, when together with Jorge Guinzburg - another of the greats of national humor- was part of the remembered cycle "Worse is nothing", that aired on the Canal screen 13.

Thanks to her character Sonia Braguetti, won two Martín Fierro awards, one as Best Actor and the rest as Best Comic Actor.

Regarding the musical field, composed the hit “I feel good”, together with the Fontova group and their Nephews. Before, he formed the sets “Patada de Mosca” and “Dúo Nagual”. He was also part of La Foca and put together his Fontova Trío.
