The renowned director, actor and teacher Jorge Dorio died yesterday at the 84 years, as confirmed in a statement by the Argentine Association of Actors.

With an extensive career in theater, radio, TV, dubbing, cinema and advertising and father of the homonymous journalist and actresses Julieta and Melina, Dorio began his acting studies with José Rodríguez (Axis), Cunil Cabanilllas and Marcelo Lavalle and was part of Rafael Alberti's literary workshop.

He worked as a theater teacher in his own space, training several generations of actresses and actors at the Escuela Superior de Teatro founded in 1968.

In theater, he participated as an actor in the plays "The tooth", "Three baturros on a donkey", "Don't go out tonight", "Husbands cheat on 7 a 9”, "Eyes full of love", "The mirasols", "The glass zoo", "Clown and the dreams of Don Polilla", among others.

In radio theater he did "Two years with Mrs. Antonia Herrero", broadcast by Radio Argentina and on TV he was part of "Romances de amor y sangre", "The popular theater of Teresa Blasco", "Those who were", "Those who say they love each other", "Tales for the night", "Let yourself be loved" and "Club Social y Deportivo TyC".

In the role of theater director, he was in charge of the staging of "The doctor with sticks", "Everything is new in spring", "Fantastic trip to the bottom of the sea", "The yes of the grandmothers", "One never knows" and made theatrical adaptations of "The Little Prince", "The doctor with sticks", "The hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Carlos's aunt".

As a playwright he wrote "They tell what happened once", "A singular night", "Malvinas desperately" and served as a director of film actors, radio conductor, author of plays and conductor of provincial festivals.
