This proposal is made jointly by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, the National Association of Historic-Artistic Centers (Italy), the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana and CICOP Argentina.

This call seeks to disseminate the best interventions and good practices in the management of heritage areas in the region. The works will be received via digital until Friday 30 July 2021 in the mailboxes: cascohistorico@buenosaires.gob.ar and eairaldi@buenosaires.gob.ar

The objective of this award is the dissemination of theoretical advances, good practices and management modalities that present solutions to the multiple problems that arise in the field of heritage protection, urban requalification and management of intangible cultural heritage.

The Gubbio Prize in the Europe section was implemented in 1990 por ANCSA, association that was created in the Italian city of Gubbio in 1960. In 2009 The section for Latin America and the Caribbean is created thanks to an agreement between the cities of Gubbio, Havana and Buenos Aires.

Applications may be conservation interventions, recovery and regeneration of the building and urban heritage or the adequate incorporation of new architecture in historical landscapes as well as good practices for the management of intangible cultural heritage. It is aimed at projects in both the public and private spheres in Latin American and Caribbean countries..

The best works will be part of a virtual exhibition in https://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/cultura/casco-historico and the day 30 September 2021, the awards event will take place, which will also be carried out in virtual form.
