Created with the aim of stimulating historical research and artistic creation, from the recognition of life, work and ideas of General Güemes, the call is given just on the 200th anniversary of his death.

Those interested may present themselves in two lines of participation: on the one hand, the National Prize for Historical Essay "Martín Miguel de Güemes: National Archetype ", will recognize the authors of the written works inspired by the personality of the Argentine leader.

At the same time, the National Popular Music Award “Martín Miguel de Güemes: a cry of freedom ", It will be delivered to the artists whose songs are selected and composed, in his lyrics and music, under the same theme.
