Opened the call for the Patronage program offered by the City
From Tuesday 14 of July to 14 August the call for the Patronage program will remain open, the most important tool that the City of Buenos Aires offers to different cultural projects.
With more disciplines, This new call points to the future reactivation and the possibility of planning the cultural sector. Y, just like last year, will work under the new Cultural Participation law and with the improvements achieved: faster selection, and remote processing.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the City, Patronage is the program that generates the most financial support for artistic-cultural projects, encouraging public-private investment.
Through Cultural Participation Patronage, taxpayers who pay the Gross Income tax in CABA can allocate part of its payment to support artistic-cultural projects.. It is a tool that encourages the participation of the private sector in the cultural life of Buenos Aires and promotes opportunities for creators.
In 2018, through patronage, 616 projects added to the cultural life of the City. In 2019, were 1159. This year, registration will be the same as last year by the Distance Procedures system (THEN) starting the 14 July and ending the 14 of August. Selected projects will be announced in December and will start raising during 2021.
Patronage will open with a total of 14 subjects: "Dance"; "Visual arts"; "Audiovisual Arts and Digital Art"; "Theater" , "Circus, mimic and related "; "Literature"; "Crafts and folk art"; "Design"; "Popular music"; "Academic music"; "Cultural heritage"; "Publications, radio, television and internet sites with artistic and cultural content ”; "Infrastructure" and "New Technologies".
For this tool, Anyone, nonprofit association or organization that has a research proposal, training, diffusion, Creation and / or cultural production can be submitted by completing the online form found on the Patronage page.
The evaluation of the projects, after documentary control, it consists of two stages:
Artistic evaluation: members of the artistic committee will evaluate the project from the discipline in which it is applied.
Impact / budget evaluation: the Cultural Participation Council will evaluate the cultural-budgetary impact of the projects for the City of Buenos Aires, will decide which will be included in the Regime and determine the amount of financing for each project.
Once selected and announced, the projects will become part of a catalog that will serve as a showcase for companies and organizations. From there, they can choose which project to participate in a simple way, intuitive and dynamic through tag searches. A friendly way that allows a quick and simple approach to the values and content related to your marketing and communication strategies.
The selected projects have two years from the notification of the selection to find patrons, develop the project and be accountable.
Patronage works from 2019 with the improvements implemented to the program: a process of call and selection of projects that lasts four months (allowing better planning for cultural managers); online registration; constant advice and evaluation not by drip but in its entirety.
