This Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August, the Benito Quinquela Martín Museum will carry out a series of online activities within the framework of the 150 anniversary of the Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Boca.

With free access, the only requirement to enjoy these proposals is prior registration, which can be done by writing an email to the address comunicacion.mbqm@gmail.com.

The schedule of activities for Saturday will begin at 10.30, with the testimony of residents and representatives of organizations and institutions in Boca.

Later, from 11 and through the Zoom platform the special visit "La Boca. Stories and places of a neighborhood - universe ". It is a journey to culturally significant historical places in the neighborhood, that are not part of the Caminito circuit- Return of Rocha. This proposal is in charge of Víctor Fernández, museum director.

Between the 13 and the 15 there will be a selection of videos that propose to delve into the history of different aspects of the colorful neighborhood.

"Illusions and returns. A philanthropic work ”is the special visit that will begin at 16, also through Zoom and by Alicia Martín, coordinator of Cultural Extension and Education of the museum. This sample covers the institutions donated by Benito Quinquela Martín.

Fernández will return at 17 with the special visit "La Boca from the waters of the Riachuelo", a journey to the neighborhood through the navigation of its waters.

from 18 you can enjoy "The show of the neighborhood inside the museum", that proposes to make a visit between masks, puppets and carnivals by Yamila Valeiras, museum curator.

Saturday will end with "The secrets of Caminito" (19 hours), an approach to the myths and truths of the famous street, also by Yamila Valeiras.

Sunday activities

Meanwhile, the second day of proposals will also begin at 10.30, with the projection of videos with testimonies of the neighbors and representatives of the neighborhood.
