The Malvinas e Islas del Atlántico Sur Museum carried out on Friday an act in the framework of the Bicentennial of the first raising of the National Flag in the Islands.

"We commemorate these 200 years of the first raising of our flag in Malvinas in this Belgranian Year, a 250 years of his birth and 200 years of his death ", affirmed the Minister of Culture of the Nation, Tristan Bauer.

The official added: “This permanent defense of the sovereignty of our peoples is a fight against colonialism. Today we have to defend our sovereignty from peace and with great firmness. The Falklands were, they are and will be Argentine ".

Today we close this Belgranian year, commemorating the bicentennial of the first time that our light blue and white flag flew in Malvinas ".
