Accused, Gonzalo Tobal movie, will participate in the Toronto Film Festival
Accused, second film directed by Gonzalo Tobal, will participate in the prestigious Toronto Film Festival, to be held between the 6 Y 16 of September.
The movie, featuring performances by Leonardo Sbaraglia, Lali Esposito, Ines Estévez, Daniel Fanego and Gerardo Romano, plus the participation of the Mexican Gael García Bernal, was selected for the Contemporary World Cine section.
While, the tape that meant the first production between Rei Cine (Occupation, The queen of fear) y K&S Films (Wild tales, The clan, The Angel) will arrive on the Big Screen of our country on 13 of September.
Accused, also, will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, thus becoming the only Argentine film selected for the Official Competition, where he will contest the award with achievements by prestigious directors of the stature of Alfonso Cuarón, Ethan y Joel Cohen, Olivier Assayas, Jacques Audiard, Yorgos Lanthimos, Laszlo Nemes y Mike Leigh.
Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, the story centers on a young student, whose life will change upon hearing the news of the murder of her best friend. After two years and media exposure in between, the protagonist will continue to be the main defendant in the case and awaits the trial against her.
