As part of the review of the historical works that passed through the San Martín Theater, this Saturday 10 October you can see "Enrique IV", starring Alfredo Alcón and Elena Tasisto.
This classic by Luigi Pirandello appears as part of the celebration for the 60 years of the traditional enclosure located on Corrientes Avenue. The play can be seen through the official site of the Buenos Aires Theater Complex (CTBA) and also through the platform "Cultura en Casa".
Directed by Rubén Szuchmacher, this show was released during the season 2005 in the Casacuberta Room and is part of the historical archive of the San Martín Theater. Osvaldo Bonet was also part of the cast, Horacio Peña, Roberto Castro, Analia Couceyro, Pablo Caramelo, Francico Civit, Pablo Messiez, Javier Rodríguez Cano and Lautaro Vilo.
Originally, the work was premiered in 1922 and puts the viewer in context of the First World War, when in the distance the bourgeoisie organized large masked balls in which they immerse themselves in infantilisms that allow them to flee from reality.
Within this framework, Henry IV appears, an aristocrat who, after an accident, is affected in his sanity and thinks he lives in the time of the disguise that he wears.
