This true jewel of the Buenos Aires cultural heritage was born from a particular combination of artistic and union activity, that continues in the present.
Some of the most important artists of the Argentine theater paraded through the tables of the Empire Theater. further, the historic venue also housed the iconic LR3 Radio Belgrano. A cinema operated in the place for years, with pioneering programmers in the exhibition of author's productions. Nowadays, the theater stands out for its large activity and the independent opera season.
The tangible cultural heritage of the Empire Theater equals the intangible in value. Its art deco building is one of the most emblematic of the style in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. His murals on silver leaf walls are unique in the country, stepped vaulted ceiling favors acoustics and hall features orchestra pit. For what the Empire Theater represents for Argentine history and culture, the voices that populated it deserve to be heard.
