Andrea Álvarez presents her new album at The Roxy Live
Andrea Alvarez, renowned drummer, Argentine singer and songwriter, prepares to release his latest album, “The Chain of Evil”. The disc, composed of eleven songs that fuse power rock with lyrics that range from personal pain to social criticism, will be presented on Friday 4 October at The Roxy Live, in the Palermo neighborhood.
The production of this album was carried out by Andrea together with Lonnie Hillyer and Tomás Brugues, and was recorded at the Panda studio in Buenos Aires. The recording and mixing technician, Christian Algarañaz, worked at the Romaphonic Studio, while the mastering was done by Neil Pickles in London.
The album stands out for its forceful sound and Álvarez's characteristic energy., who commented on your work: "I could assure that 'The Chain of Evil’ it's my best album. I started composing it before the pandemic and it always maintained the same spirit, because my great inspiration is disagreement. The album talks about the abuses of power and the death of the world that formed us, It no longer exists and my difficulty in accepting it”.
Andrea Álvarez has an extensive career in music, having worked with prominent figures of the Argentine scene such as Soda Stereo, Charly García and Divididos, among others. Since 2001, develops his solo career, with four albums released to date. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Konex for merit in the category of “Best Female Rock Artist of the Decade.”.
It is worth noting that the album “La Cadena del Mal” will be released along with the video clip of the song “Sos La Muerte del Rock”, directed by Sal Lencina.
