The winners of the Banco Ciudad Award for the Performing Arts were announced

As relevant data, and according to the impact of the call, the authorities of Banco Ciudad decided to expand the scope of the award, adding up 10 more projects, whose winners will be announced in the next few days.

After the announcement, the Buenos Aires Minister of Culture Enrique Avogadro highlighted the work carried out so that “there are more and more tools and incentives for the cultural makers of our City ".
The head of the Buenos Aires Culture area stated that "this award seeks to stimulate the creation and independent production of performing arts. The Theater Complex of Buenos Aires, with the support of Banco Ciudad, wants to give impulse and accompany the sector that is going through very complex moments due to the pandemic ".
Likewise, Jorge Telerman highlighted “the importance of this joint initiative that we have undertaken with Banco Ciudad, Sponsor Principal del CTBA, an entity of permanent support to the cultural activity of Buenos Aires ".
Telerman said that this recognition "has the vocation of permanence, because there is no doubt that an institution of the significance of the San Martín Theater has among its missions that of highlighting and promoting the rich independent scenic tradition of the City, whose intense work has made Buenos Aires one of the theatrical capitals of the world ".
Finally, Guillermo Laje expressed that this proposal generated a "satisfaction" due to the "success of the contest, with the large participation and the high artistic level of the proposals; for this reason we decided to expand the award so that they are 20 the new projects for the independent theater circuit ".
