Protocol for the development of musical activities announced

The Government of the City of Buenos Aires -from the Ministry of Culture- announced the security protocol according to the norms dictated by the jurisdictional and national organisms for the creation, interpretation, studio recording and streaming via the music sector.

The protocol, prepared jointly between the Ministry of Culture of the City and the Civil Association of Argentine Musical Managers (ACMMA), will allow professional musicians and bands to return to the studio to create, interpret and record their works.

They may do so with prior notification to the Ministry of Culture and a sworn declaration of acceptance of the protocol.. Even, transmissions may be made via streaming, which can be monetized both by ticket sales and donations from the public.

People considered in risk groups are excluded., and no event may have general public attendance.

"In this context of social isolation, preventive and mandatory, culture is a fundamental tool. Not only because it creates bridges and builds our collective identity, but also in economic terms. The culture of Buenos Aires is recognized worldwide and is going through one of its most difficult moments. Because, We work together with each sector to be able to advance in the possibility of giving cultural activity a break, always prioritizing health ”, said the Minister of Culture of the City Enrique Avogadro.

The new protocol establishes measures to guarantee people's health, and controlling the spread of the virus, in line with the directives of the national authorities. In this way, seeks to ensure the continuity of musical activities by guaranteeing prevention and hygiene in all its phases to avoid contagion. The objective is to strengthen the actions to prepare the gradual return to normality, as soon as this is possible.

“This protocol is a response to the reality that the music industry is experiencing. We know this is a difficult time, but it is a first step so that each person who lives from it can return to their work with the least possible risk. Because, today more than ever, We continue working to value Argentine art and music.” said Viviana Cantoni, Undersecretary of Cultural Management.
