Art and faith come together in the new Sacred Art Biennial at Cultural Recoleta

Between 15 August and 17 September will take place at the Recoleta Cultural Center the thirteenth edition of the Biennial of Contemporary Sacred Art, an encounter that unites art and faith.

Under the motto of "a way of inhabiting the world", this meeting proposes to present a series of 47 works that were selected through a call that was not only local, but also international.

Under that concept, and with the organization of the Vetrano Foundation and the La Santa Faz Foundation and under the direction of María Pimentel de Lanusse, This biennial will make it possible to publicize the achievements that ultimately reached, previously chosen from an open call that included different styles such as painting, drawing, sculpture; icons, installations, Photography, video and digital art.

The selection committee was made up of Carlos Fernando Herrera, Ofelia Manzi and Raúl Flores who evaluated more than 500 artistic pieces to choose from 47 that will be part of this exhibition. Likewise, the award jury that will evaluate the works is made up of Ana María Battistozzi, Teresa Pereda and Angel Navarro.

It should be noted that the same day of the inauguration the name of each of the winners will be announced., with prizes ranging from 250 thousand until 1.200.000 pesos.

The selected artists of this edition are Arturo Aguiar, Diana Aisenberg, Blas Appeared, Andres Arzuaga, martin blanc, Amaya Bouquet, Xil Jester, Juan Ignacio Cabruja, Elias Calo, Javier Carricajo, Maria Esther Houses, Diego Cienfuegos, Florence Ciliberti, Charles Top, Manuel Coll, Carlos Alberto Conde, Angela Copello, Sebastian D´Amen, Maximiliano D´Ettorre Negri, Richard De Itatí, Claudia Del Rio, Zoe DiRienzo, Nicolas Dominguez Nacif, Monica Fierro, Miguel Angel Fretes, Alexander Gigli, Carlos Ginzburg, Maria Sol Gonzalez Alzaga, Leonard Guardianelli, Maria Esther Joao, Mirta Kupferminc, Fernando Pedro Lore and Mario Vidal Lozano.
