Four artists will coexist in the mythical house of Victoria Ocampo
The National Endowment for the Arts begins a residency program for artists on 10 October, in the mythical house that belonged to the writer and founder of the institution, Victoria Ocampo.
The historic residence located on Rufino de Elizalde street, in Barrio Parque -built in 1928 by Alejandro Bustillo- It has been fully restored in order to put it in value for cultural activities and residences for artists.
Between those walls, in 1930, The mythical magazine Sur was founded and cultural personalities such as Jorge Luis Borges passed through there, Silvina Ocampo, Oliverio Girondo and María Rosa Oliver, among many others.
Of the 10 al 15 October, the house will be inhabited by the Colombian writer and critic Carolina Sanín, Cordovan poet and performer Camila Sosa Villada, the guitarist Marcos Bueno and the Argentine writer based in Spain Rodrigo Fresán.
The artists, of different profiles, they will share over the course of five days the spaces marked even today by the innovative and provocative aura that Victoria Ocampo imposed on them.
Although the house regularly receives artists from all over the country to appear in its lyric cycles, music the cine, this time, with the residency program, you will be able to have access to the rooms on the second floor and stay for a certain time.
The National Endowment for the Arts starts this program together with the Filba Foundation, in the context of the homonymous festival, so Sanín and Fresán will also be in charge of writing the blog of those days, that will be read on Sunday 14 October at the MALBA auditorium.
