The city of Barcelona will carry out the 3 July Canet Rock Festival, that will bring together 22 thousand spectators without preventive distancing, but with chinstraps and tests performed the same day, as a pilot test.

This proposal is in addition to the experiment carried out weeks ago when Love Of Lesbian gathered some 5 thousand people in a concert without contagions being registered.

This was announced by its organizers, who clarified that a foundation against AIDS and other infectious diseases will supervise health measures based on guidelines from local authorities, the Spanish newspapers report.

The musical meeting will take place at the Pla d’en Sala de Canet de Mar and the conditions to attend will be to certify at the entrance the negativity of the antigen test, after which each attendee will be provided with a special mask to use in the venue.

The pilot test will be carried out after the postponement announcement for 2022 from other traditional festivals, like Bilbao BBK Live, also scheduled for next July, who planned to host The Killers, Pet Shop Boys y Bad Bunny; and the Azkena Rock Festival, among others.

Although there are still other summer meetings in that country, like mad cool, the Low Festival and the Arenal Sound, its organizers are expected to announce similar measures in the face of the health crisis.
