Barry Gibb to release country version of Bee Gees classics album
Musician Barry Gibb will present his new album in January: a compilation of hits by the Bee Gees, but in country version.
“Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1”, is the name of the album that will contain some of the best pieces that he knew how to make with his late brothers Maurice and Robin.
As it transpired, the plate (produced by Dave Cobb), will feature the participation of renowned figures of the genre such as Keith Urban, Alison Krauss y Dolly Parton, among others.
According to what was published in the newspaper The New York Times, the musician said that the idea of this new album is "to keep the music alive. Regardless of us and me. Someday, like my brothers, I will no longer be there and I want the music to last ".
The publication of the plaque will coincide with the premiere of the HBO documentary “The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart”, de Frank Marshall, that reviews the history of the group.
