With performances on Fridays in April and May, “Bengala” –the theatrical work led by Quilmeño boxer Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez- will premiere its season at the Nueve Norte in Madrid.

"Bengal - A life in twelve rounds" is the work of Alfredo Megna headed by the World Boxing Champion, under the artistic production of Pablo Silva and the direction of Adrián Navarro.

The plot of this play revolves around a boxer who sees his life slip away from him in the last minutes of those endless rounds, traversed by their ghosts: Vanessa - his great wife -, El Paco -his coach-, the Chicken -his friend-, the doctor, the referee, his mother. Your home and your lost wishes.

This story tells the construction of a dream that ends. Of a boxer whose time is running out, marked by the steps of a clock, that keeps hitting his head, of a bell that stuns him. His past, your present. His fight with the rookie, his last ending.

"Bengal" is a play performed by a single actor, Sergio “Wonderful” Martinez who gives life to 7 characters, led by the hand of a relevant work of the director - also an Argentine actor- Adrian Navarro.

It should be noted that after its premiere on European soil, the tour will continue in our country at the end of this year.
