The National Bicentennial House presents "Bergman. One hundred "
From 7 from June to 5 of August, the National House of the Bicentenary will carry out the exhibition "Bergman. One hundred ", dedicated to the great Swedish filmmaker.
With free entry, in the Riobamba enclosure 985 the public will be able to appreciate an exhibition that relates the audiovisual language, fashion and art, through a journey that provides a contemporary and local look - in addition to updating- on one of the perhaps less explored aspects of Bergman's influence, that is to say, design and clothing.
This exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 14 a 20 and consists of three fundamental axes: the exhibition of photographs and objects, a cycle of round tables and a cycle of documentaries.
In this context, The purpose of the exhibition is to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the great filmmaker (Upsala, 14 July 1918 – Fårö, 30 July 2007).
It is worth noting that although clothing is not among its most notorious style brands, the costumes of his characters were a fundamental part in his creative process and much more in the final result of his extensive filmography.
Regarding the different thematic blocks that the exhibition has, “Bergman iconic: the involuntary trendsetter "; "The seventh seal: anguish, death and loneliness in the 50s "; "Person: the foreground, Swedish femininity and modernism in the 60s "; "Scenes of conjugal life: Sexual and Gender Politics of Sweden in the 1970s ”and“ Film Haute Couture and End of the Century Extravaganza ”.
Organized by the Swedish Embassy, the Swedish Institute and the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, through INCAA and CNB. In November, the sample will be exhibited in the city of Mar del Plata, within the framework of the International Film Festival.
Then, The sidewalk shows you the complete program of the round tables and projections that will take place throughout the exhibition:
