Bitbang presents the complete program of its 10th edition
El Bitbang, Most relevant International Animated Film Festival in Latin America, will celebrate its tenth edition of the 28 from October to 3 November in various locations in the City of Buenos Aires.
With a program that includes an animation competition, talks, projections, workshops, and a closing party, Bitbang reaches its first decade consolidated as the most important festival in the region. further, It is the first Argentine festival that qualifies for the Oscar Awards, expanding its international relevance. The 28 October, The inauguration will be at Club Lucero at 20 hours with the screening of animated shorts from Latin America, Argentina and international, with free entry on a first-come, first-served basis. The 29 October, to 19 hours at the Gaumont Cinema, Animation works by international guests Benjy Brooke will be presented, By Stephen Vuillemin, Damien Megherbi y Max Winston, among others.
The 30 October, at the Sarmiento Cultural Center, The immersive installation “HABITAT” will open 14 a 20 hours, accompanied by outstanding talks such as that of Stephen Vuillemin on animation as a tool to reflect on mortality, and Benjy Brooke's on creative challenges in formal institutions. At the Da Vinci School there will be Masterclass with prior registration on visual effects and 3D, and a presentation of “Robotia”, a multi-award winning national film.
The 31 October, the Da Vinci School will host more Masterclasses, from the production of alternative content in community to labor law and co-production, with the participation of guests such as Damien Megherbi and Lena Mandel. further, there will be an acting and writing workshop, a Benjy Brooke retrospective and screenings at various venues. The day will culminate with a party and karaoke in La Paz Arriba, with tickets available online.
The 1 of November, the Da Vinci School will offer workshops with Alex Gamsu Jenkins, Patricio Plaza and Julia Conde. Declared of Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Bitbang stands out for its focus on collective creation and training.
