After its recent release, the show "Boquitas Pintadas" continues to be presented at the San Martín Theater, where the novel by Manuel Puig runs.

Given by Renata Schussheim and Oscar Araiz, the Ballet del San Martín stars in this work, under the direction of Andrea Chinetti and co-directed by Diego Poblete.

throughout the show, the action will take place in a town in the province of Buenos Aires between 1934 Y 1947. In this context and as in the radio dramas of the time, we will always talk about what is forbidden through concealment and simulation. In that double game, which is the obverse and reverse of hypocrisy and envy, the nature of the characters is delineated.

A sum of realistic elements (source and origin of the search, through a process of abstraction and deconstruction), become the new organ: a contemporary view of the novel.

Through cinema or radio theater, notable shapers of social behavior of the time, Puig's words “experience” a musical transformation reminiscent of old radio auditions and the sound of Argentine cinema of the '30s and '40s. In this way, permanent analogies are produced between the text and the plastic and sound conception of the show..
