Canada and the City of Buenos Aires reaffirm their link with culture
In the framework of the National Day of Canada, the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires and the Council of the Arts of the aforementioned country reaffirmed their support for the bilateral bridges that were built in these years.
Within that context, this Wednesday the Culture at Home platform prepared a special program that delves into Canadian cultural life in the context of social isolation, preventive and mandatory.
In this way, different projects and initiatives will pass that will be part of a special selection that can be seen online and free of charge..
About this agreement, Minister of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Enrique Avogadro, he stated: “We celebrate this new cultural bridge with Canada, in his day, country with which we have a long history of cooperation and mutual support. And we hope everyone can enjoy it. It will allow us to bring content related to Canadian artistic life, and above all, continue expanding access to culture, in this context. Culture is a fundamental tool for general well-being and to build citizenship ”.
Meanwhile, Simon brault, Director and Head of the Board of the Arts Council of Canada, assured: “Today Canada celebrates in an unprecedented way. It is a first celebration without the possibility of meeting. But our strong desire to be together remains intact. Our desire to see and hear our artists express humanity, diversity and also indigenous wealth through the arts. And it remains important for us to celebrate this date with countries that share our dream of an inclusive future in which all peoples are united even more strongly through the arts.. This includes countries like Argentina, and cities like Buenos Aires, with whom we have built strong and lasting connections. We are very happy that you celebrate with us. Happy Canada's day! And welcome to the celebration of Buenos Aires on Canada Day!!”.
Among the highlights of the selection appear the following proposals:
