Regarding its history, revolves around the meeting that occurred one night in which Gardel and Sinatra were locked in a dressing room. According to legend, in 1934 Gardel was performing on NBC in New York when a young admirer introduced him, eager to meet the “great baritone from the River Plate”, who was none other than Frank Sinatra at his 19 years.
That starting point triggered a very attractive idea.: a musical that stages an imaginary meeting between the two in very unkind circumstances. Gardel, who tries to get rid of his annoying fan; Sinatra, who tries to understand the passion he perceives in Zorzal's songs.
Little by little the artists begin a friendship that, according to this story, will remain forever. women, the friends, the neighborhood, the game, the lunfardo, the good and the bad companies, These are just some of the songs that Carlitos and Frank cover while they perform the best of the Gardelian repertoire in the style and language of the Mudo., and in the style and language of the Voice.
