The National Historical Museum opened a call addressed to all those people born before 1960, with the aim of sharing letters that they have saved, sent or not and that behind each one of them appears an anecdote.

"Letters with history" is the name of this proposal, that includes stories, news or just contacts, among other options, signed or anonymous, sent to places near or far or that have simply been saved for some reason.

This initiative follows the line of "Letter Arrived", that the museum itself made during the winter holidays, aimed at the youngest and youngest, to bring them closer to the social phenomenon that writing a letter means, waiting for your later reply.

Precisely and taking into account that October is the Month of the Elderly, the proposal is expanded and seeks to increase communication channels, revaluing a time when it was necessary to wait to receive a notification or response.

Those who wish to participate, They can do it by sending photos of the letters or their stories, with the answers if there are any. You can also send the story of those letters that were never sent.

How long did you wait for a letter? What was the letter that gave you the most surprises? Did you get postcards? Did they send telegrams? Did they dictate letters? What letter did you want to send? Did you have friends by letter? Were they written with any love?, appear as some of the slogans.

The material can be sent to the address educación@mhn.gob.ar or also by whatsapp through 11 2552 0089. The call will remain open until November.
