The call for the third edition of the FILBA Novel Prize has closed
More than 200 applications, recently closed the call for the third edition of the Novel Prize awarded by the Medifé FILBA foundation.
from 113 publishers, the candidates arrived from Buenos Aires, Chubut, Córdoba, Between rivers, Santa Fe and Rio Negro, among other destinations.
This proposal seeks to make visible the talent of different writers who contribute their novels, each one with its look and style, express the diversity and enormous production of contemporary Argentine literature.
After this first step of closing the call, then it will be the turn of the announcement of a first list with ten selected novels. Later a shorter list with five titles will be known, Y, in December the winning novel will be known.
The winner will get a prize of 750 thousand pesos and will be chosen by a jury made up of María Teresa Andruetto, Fabian Casas and Mariana Enriquez.
In its first edition, the winning novel turned out to be "The Last Falcon on Earth" by Juan Ignacio Pisano, published by Baltasara Editora, while during the second edition the winning novel was "Los llanos" by Federico Falco, published by Editorial Anagrama.
