China will pay tribute to Julio Cortázar
With its main titles translated into Mandarin, "Hopscotch", "All fires the fire", “Histories of chronopios and fame” and “Los Premios”, the work and figure of Julio Cortázar will be honored on Friday in Beijing, by the hand of Chinese and Argentine specialists.
The recognition will come through a round table at the headquarters of the Instituto Cervantes in the Chinese capital, which will have the presence of the translator of Cortázar's work into Mandarin, Fan Ye, who will analyze the arduous task of translation.
The Argentine letters specialist and translator of Ricardo Piglia will also participate., Lou Yu, who will address the reading keys of the author of "End of the game", and the writer, editor and professor of literature at Beijing Normal Capital University, the Argentine Guillermo Bravo, who will refer to the teaching of Cortázar's works in China.
The activity will take place within the framework of the 45th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Argentine Republic and the People's Republic of China, organized by the Argentine Embassy in Beijing, the Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish American bookstore Mil Gotas.
