On the way to a new edition of the traditional meeting, which will take place between 21 and the 29 of November, the CINE.AR platform will carry out a special of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival.

In this way, the public will be able to enjoy productions that were part of previous editions, plus a selection of shorts that also had their presence at the Festival.

As expressed by Fernando Juan Lima, President of the meeting that takes place year after year in the Buenos Aires seaside resort, "Since his recovery in 1996 the Mar del Plata International Film Festival has articulated a look that reflects, but it also explains, the beautiful diversity of our cinema and its relationship with the world ".

Likewise, the manager stated that the growing installation of CINE.AR as a meeting place and culture "led us to think about the continuity of this shared intersection and work". In this context and to accompany edition number 35 of the Festival the programmers have selected a group of films "that reflect the heterogeneity and quality that characterizes the event that takes place every year in our beloved city of Mar del Plata".

According to the words of Lima, “The intention is that one of the access routes to the platform is through the films that were part of the Festival, which will vary periodically ".

Among the titles that make up this selection, there are fiction feature films: "Phase 7", by Nicolás Goldbart, who participated in the edition of 2010; "La tigra Chaco", of Juan Sasiaín and Federico Godfrid, in the edition of 2008; "The balloons", by Mariano González, in 2016; "The perfect future", from Nele Wohlatz; "The newbie", by Tomás de Leone, both in 2016; "Viking", by José Celestino Campusano, in 2009 and "Florianópolis Dream", de Ana Katz,in that of 2018.

Among the documentaries, you will be able to see "Narcisa Reflection", by Silvina Szperling, that was part of the programming in 2014; "Soldier", by Manuel Abramovich and "Tie your plow to a star", Carmen Guarini, The two were part of the program 2017 the festival.

The short films that make up this section, son: "Social", by Mariano Luque, who participated in the edition of 2013; "Salon Royale", by Sabrina Campos, who was in the selection of 2011; "In the surprising age of communication", by Augusto González Polo, that will be part of the edition of 2017; "To silence", by Mariano Cócolo, of 2016 and "Videogames (HB 9)”, by Cecilia Kang, which was part of the programming of the edition of 2014.

It should be noted that the comedy “Sueño Florianópolis” by Ana Katz and the documentary “Tie your plow to a star” by Carmen Guarini, are part of the CINE.AR PLAY news program, included in the August program. This curatorship will rotate and will continue to grow on the INCAA screen.
