CINE.AR and Gaumont will pay tribute to David Blaustein

A partir de este jueves y durante toda la semana se podrán ver los documentales “rebellious fragments” and "It's going to end", works by director David “Coco” Blaustein, recently deceased.

On the other hand, the program will also be screened “In Focus Coco Blaustein”, produced by INCAA.

Argentine filmmaker and documentary maker David “Coco” died on Monday 16 of August, to the 68 years, after having a stroke. Blaustein has been one of the greatest references of political cinema in our country. He was part of the group of filmmakers that promoted the current Film Law that was passed in September 1994. Some of his most recognized titles are: "Hunters of utopias" (1995), "Spoils of war" (2000), "Make homeland" (2006), "Soy beans" (2009), “Rebellious fragments” (2009), The kitchen (2011) and "It's going to end" (2020).

In this sense, the Gaumont Cinema and the CINE.AR platform pay tribute to him by screening the documentary “Se va a termina”, in which different experiences of resistance and political-union struggles of workers and militants are narrated during the last civic-military dictatorship. And "Rebel Fragments", that tells the story of the filmmaker Enrique Juárez - union leader of Luz y Fuerza and disappeared militant of the Peronist Working Youth- murdered on 10 from December to 1976.

The Gaumont Cinema will offer a special program until Wednesday 25 of August, with functions at 14:30 Y 19:30 in which "It's going to end" will be screened, while "Fragmentos rebellados" will be at 17.

“Rebellious fragments”: Thursday 21.20 and Saturday at 20 h.

"It's going to end": Thursday at 11pm and Saturday at 22 h.
