Film discussion in a women's prison
Within the framework of the gender violence prevention program carried out by the General Directorate of Assistance and Treatment of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service, was carried out in the Unit 8 from Los Hornos the projection of the film “Gilda, I do not regret this love", which also had the presence of some of the film's producers.
With the support of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), The film series in prisons took place in the Multipurpose Room of the enclosure and Javier Leoz was there, one of the film's producers, who then spoke with the inmates who witnessed the function.
It should be noted that this program is carried out with socio-cultural purposes to the activities of the penitentiary units and seeks to accompany the policies of social inclusion and expansion of rights, understanding access to culture as an indispensable right for human development.
In addition to the film starring Natalia Oreiro, previously the short film “Como una madre” was screened, made by residents of the city of Hilario Ascasubi, belonging to the Buenos Aires party of Villariño.
