Within the framework of the "Nuestro Teatro" program led by Cervantes, from tonight you will be able to see “Civilización” online on the official YouTube channel of the traditional Buenos Aires venue.

Written by Mariano Saba and directed by Lorena Vega, the work will be available to enjoy from 20, when it will be made available on the platform. As in every publication, the show will have subtitles in Spanish.

"Civilización" features the performances of Julieta Brito, Andrea Nussembaum, Maria Ines Sancerni, Mariano Sayavedra and Gonzalo Urtizberea.

The work is located in 1792, moment in which Buenos Aires burns the Ranchería theater and the flames illuminate the viceregal night. In his frightened flight, two grotesque ladies lose their way, leaving behind a third mestizo sister who is left for dead in the sinister.

They will both walk alone on a flooded plain, between grasslands and vermin, longing for civilization. There, the warm European civility that was bequeathed to them by their Hispanic parents. But the imposture declines: every tragedy hides a betrayal and the truth is on their heels.

It is worth remembering that this proposal was born from the program "Nuestro Teatro", a contest promoted by Cervantes himself who seeks, in times of pandemic, stimulate the author and at the same time generate content during the quarantine.

The texts were selected in the first instance by a pre-selection committee, Constituted by: Ana alvarado, Andrea Garrote and Juan Parodi (CABA), Sebastián Fanello (Neuquén), Romina Mazzadi Arro (Santa Fe) and Ariel Dávila (Córdoba); and second by a final selection jury constituted by Sebastián Blutrach, Romina Chepe, Monica J. Paixao and the director of the TNC, Rubén D’Audia.
