The eighth edition of the virtual meeting #MuseumWeek began
From this Monday and during the seven days of the week, museums around the world are once again interacting with millions of users through the virtual meeting #MuseumWeek.
This is the eighth edition of this proposal that seeks to give greater prominence to museums that aim to generate interaction with the public from all over the planet under a series of slogans.
This event was born in France in 2014, organized together with UNESCO and in each edition it promotes an international cause with a different theme.
In the context in which we live and where cultural venues are among the most vulnerable, this year the focus is on the unprecedented global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, that seriously affected the creative sector, forcing the culture industry and artists, to manifest through digital media.
Axes, in that frame, are the delivery of culture and art to audiences around the world; stimulate the spirit of creativity and creation in all of us, especially in the young and, by last, reinforce the image of artists as actors involved in social change.
The slogan is simple, share through all social networks a publication with the hashtag of the day.
