The series of concerts tribute to Piazzolla begins at the CCK
As part of the concerts for the centenary of the birth of the great Astor Piazzolla, this Thursday several figures will open the cycle in the CCK from the 21.
With the presence of prominent artists of the stature of Amelita Baltar and José Ángel Trelles, two of the vocalists who sang with the bandoneonist and author, tonight the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) will kick off the cycle to honor the musician from Mar del Plata.
Luis Salinas will also participate, Franco Luciani, Nestor Marconi, Jose Colángelo, Major Sextet, Parallel 33 °, Cucuza Castiello (that replaces the announced Thunder), Matías Sagreras, EVA Wolff-safety-Lucia Hernan Luque, Lilia Salzano-Daniela Salinas and Horacio Avilano in an evening hosted by Pancho Ibáñez.
In addition to the possibility of enjoying it in person, This tribute can be seen on the Contar platform (from 21) and through Public Television (starting at 23).
The CCK will also host another schedule of recitals with the artistic curatorship of Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla and Nicolás Guerschberg who will recreate “Emblematic Ensembles”, "Essential Disks", "Piazzolla de Cámara", "Prelude for the year 3001" and "Symphonic Piazzolla".
On the other hand, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, on the second floor of the CCK, the exhibition “Piazzolla 100” will take place through visual and sound installations and the inauguration of an immersive room where the public will be able to “get into” the music and environments that inspired the bandoneon player
Martín Bonavetti, Undersecretary of Management of Spaces and Special Projects of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, He remarked on these tributes that “in conjunction with the Astor Piazzolla Foundation we set out to generate activities and content on the vast work of Piazzolla, and that in turn they undertake a dialogue between their legacy and the work of contemporary artists in order to retake the transformative nature of their work and its centrality for the national culture ".
