A cycle of interviews with art historians, archaeologists, anthropologists, curators and artists, that seeks to generate new debates around Pre-Hispanic Art within the local context, launches on online platforms starting today, under the title “Cross Roads”.

Art historians María José Herrera, María Alba Bovisio and Susana Bosio, the architect and researcher of the Conicet Daniel Schávelzon, anthropologists Ana María Llamazares and Leonardo Mercado, the museologist Gabriel Miremont and the artists Gabriel Chaile and Magdalena Jitrik, are some of the interviewees who are part of the program.

The interviews are based on the collections exhibited in the Pre-Hispanic Art Room of the National Museum of Fine Arts, to then investigate issues such as the appreciation of these pieces in the art industry, its exhibition and the different artistic disciplines.

further, the cycle uses dialogue as a central channel to enrich the formation of a national identity and the debate on art history, the organizers reported.

“Cross Roads” es un proyecto producido durante la cuarentena por estudiantes de la carrera de Gestión e Historia de las Artes en la USAL, with the support of the Center for Urban Archeology (FADU, UBA) and the Museum of Anthropology of Salta.

The episodes will be broadcast on days 5, 9, 12 Y 23 October at 18, freely and free of charge through the project website (www.caminoscruzados.com) and also on their Facebook profiles, Instagram and Youtube, where they publish weekly previews of the series.
