Since Wednesday 28 of September, until Sunday 2 October, rock will meet in Berazategui, through the festival that has become one of the most significant hallmarks of the city.

It is that the Bera Rock has transcended the reason for which it was created and became one of the most anticipated meetings by fans of the genre.. With the presence of more than one hundred local bands and the closure of outstanding national artists, rock will start its engines from the 15.40, moment when Open Bragueta kicks off the date that Foxus will close, in the early hours of the Roberto De Vicenzo Activity Center (Street 18 Y 148).

La Vereda spoke with Marcelo Silva, Director of Events of the Municipality of Berazategui and also General Coordinator of Bera Rock. Silva worked at each of the festivals and explained that "everything started in 2009, with the idea of breaking the Guinness record, but since 2010 everything was given in the format in which it is currently presented”.

Among the featured artists, Claudia Puyó and the Anesthesiologists will give the present on this occasion, Javier Martínez de Manal, Little tree, Parrots and La Mancha de Rolando.

On the other hand, there will be other accessories that will be added to the festival this year, like the food truck, a truck that will offer different types of food and the Berazateguito Rock, what will be on friday 30, from 14 and even 16 hours, with the presence of gangs made up exclusively of children.

unique festival

When asked about the comparison of Bera Rock with other festivals that take place in the Greater Buenos Aires, Silva held: “I would dare to say that it is one of the largest festivals at the national level. There is no festival that lasts so long and with the continuity that exists on the stages, especially with the support of local groups. That is why it can be said that this festival is unique”.

meanwhile added: “We are proud from the Culture area to see the bands that participate in the event year after year. And it is also seen that they are committed to what the cultural project of the city means. We have music workshops and we have a Municipal School of Music and, at least, about seven out of ten bands have more than one member who has made their first palotes in our workshops. That is something very significant for someone who has been working in the Secretariat for a long time and for culture recognizes those kids who came to do these workshops and today they are teenagers or adults and continue with the passion to continue with this cultural project and that It really makes us proud”.
