This Saturday 25 September and from 16 hours, the tango competition will have its finals in the categories Tango de Pista and Tango Escenario on Diagonal Norte, one of the most emblematic places in the city, in front of the obelisk.

In the category Tango de Pista they will compete 32 couples and in the Final of Stage Tango they will be 15 those that will compete for the grand prize. In that context, the public will be able to enjoy concerts, Tributes, talks and outdoor milonga. The Event will be transmitted by streaming to the whole world by Vivamos Cultura.

It will be the first time that the Tango BA Festival and Mundial finals will have the Buenos Aires Obelisk in the background. All afternoon, there will be a special space for an outdoor milonga. The dance will take Diagonal Norte, inviting the public to meet again with the 2×4. Jorge Muscia, renowned filleter, will present “El camino del Tango” the red carpet that celebrities will walk.

The concerts will begin with The Typical Orchestra Sans Souci, that will present "Porteñisimo", together with the singers Emiliano Castignola and Walter “Chino” Laborde. Then, a tribute will be made to Juan Carlos Copes, passed away this year. Johana Copes will participate in this tribute, his daughter. At the end, the final of the Track Tango category will arrive. In her, 32 couples will take the stage to compete to become world champions.

Later it will be Pablo Banchero's turn, that accompanied by a trio of guitars will present Serenatas de Arrabal. The day will continue with El Sexteto Mayor, that together with Roxana Fontán, will perform a repertoire with classic themes from all eras and compositions by contemporary authors. After this, there will be a talk with the public between the dancers María Nieves Rego and Silvia Toscano, "The Puppy", in which María Nieves will tell the story of how she brought dance floor tango to the stage.

After this talk, 15 Couples will compete to win the highest award in the Stage Tango category. At the end, a tribute show to "Argentine Tango" will be held, show by Claudio Segovia and Héctor Orezzoli that was decisive in the international recognition of tango. This tribute will include exhibitions by important dancers such as Milena Plebs and Fernando Carrasco, Vanina Bilous and Javier Rodríguez, Guillermina Quiroga and Mariano Logiudice and Analía Morales and Gabriel Ponce. The general direction will be in charge of Julio Zurita.

The grand final will be crowned with the awards to the champions. Those chosen by the public and the winners of Tango de Pista and Tango Escenario will be awarded.

On-site spectators will be able to enjoy the grand finale from a specially set up audience. In this new edition, the competition is specially designed for today's healthcare context. Some couples will compete in person and others virtually; both modalities being measured in a single competition. As in all editions, the competition will be chaired by a jury of recognized international trajectory. The event will be conducted by Carlitos Lin, the award ceremony will be conducted by Fernando Bravo.

During the competition, more of 400 couples from Argentina, Brazil, Russia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Spain, Romania, Poland, Malaysia, Turkey, U.S, UK, China, Germany, Colombia, Indonesia, Ecuador, Mexico, Latvia, Georgia, Bolivia, Canada and Switzerland competed in the Tango de Pista and Tango Escenario categories in this edition of Tango BA Mundial.

Argentina was represented by dancers from CABA, Buenos Aires province, Land of Fire, Chubut, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Neuquén, Missions, Jujuy, Tucumán, The Pampa, Salta, Corrientes, The Rioja, Black river, San Juan, Santa Cruz, Between Ríos and Chaco.
