This Saturday 16 March season 2024 of the Mar Dulce Gallery will be officially inaugurated with the exhibition “(Song of the Interior)”, individual exhibition of the artist Diego Ontivero.

The opening will be at 16 hours and once inaugurated it can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, With free entry, of 16 a 19 hours in the traditional venue located on Uriarte Street 1490 and up 4 of May.

Through this exhibition, The public will have the opportunity to appreciate Ontivero's drawings, in this which will be his third individual exhibition.

Total, there will be two series of new ink drawings, acrylic and collage on paper, (30 works in total) plus some acrylic paintings on canvas.

Diego Ontivero's work is of rare depth and density. In this work all the fundamental themes of the philosophy of language are found.: the possibility of a private language, the Saussurean hypothesis of the arbitrariness of the sign, resistance against a reactionary contemporaneity to the idea of ​​universal grammars, the discussion about the penetrating power of cultural roots that determines our way of reading the world.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1979, Ontivero (Buenos Aires, 1979) He is a visual artist, graphic designer and teacher at FADU, Buenos Aires' University. After design career, studied with Daniel Roldán, Cristian Turdera, Mauro Koliva, Monica Weiss and Horacio Spinetto, at the Visual Arts Foundation, under the direction of Hermenegildo Sábat. Between 2008 and the 2010 participated in the work analysis workshop of Tulio de Sagastizábal.

Since 2008 exhibits his work in individual and group exhibitions, like Ligustrina (Borges House, Buenos Aires, 2023), String Music (Ubicua Gallery, London, 2022), Synchronies (Pasco Multispace, Buenos Aires, 2012), Seven lines equals one point (Recoleta Cultural Center, 2010), Penance (House of Culture of Adrogué, Buenos Aires, 2009) Y, since 2017, frequently at the Mar Dulce Gallery. In 2020, He was a finalist in the Second Latin American Illustration Biennial, exhibiting his work in Mexico City.

Together with Roque Larraquy they published the novel Informe sobre ectoplasma animal and will soon publish Bonaerencia, his own novel.
