With a Latin presence, Metallica will pay tribute to "Black Album"
This year will be fulfilled 30 years since the release of the "Black Album", the iconic Metallica album that defined his career and marked a before and after in the recording industry.
In that context, the group consisting of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo announced the release of a new album that will pay tribute to the plate released in August 1991.
The surprising thing about this announcement is that Latin soloists like Juanes appear among the list of artists that will be part of this project, J Balvin, Mon Laferte and Pepe Madero. There will also be Miley Cyrus and Elton John, St. Vicent, Cage The Elephant, Marco's Mac, St. Vicent, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Royal Blood and Weezer, among others.
The American group, who will also release a remastered edition of their fifth studio album, shared on his social networks the “trailer” from his “Black List” which will be available and for sale on 10 September in digital format and October 1 in physical format, accompanied by other special editions on vinyl and CD to commemorate his black album.
“Enter Sandman”, grunge version by Colombian Juanes, is now available on the musician's digital platforms, which, like the rest of the guests, chose together with All Within My Hands - the charitable foundation of Metallica- a foundation to allocate the money raised.
