With several proposals, Independent Culture Month was launched
This Wednesday the "Month of Independent Culture" was officially presented., a program that brings together more than 600 artistic and that aims to provide greater support to workers in the sector.
The launch was attended by Enrique Avogadro, Buenos Aires Minister of Culture, who highlighted the programming that will be exposed to the public from the 6 and up 30 of this month. It can be enjoyed through the Vivamos Cultura portal.
Some of these activities will be developed for free, while others will be affordable. There will be shows in different places, parks and stages located at various strategic points.
The independent spaces that are part of the Month's programming will have free and free entry functions concentrated on two weekends: On Friday 19, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21, the music halls will offer free shows while on Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 theaters will do it.
"From the City we accompany and encourage the development of the sector to ensure that all artistic voices and expressions have their place and continue to feed this great cultural ecosystem" said Avogadro, who added that there is "a strong commitment to independent culture and we will continue working so that cultural makers have more tools to develop and that more and more people can enjoy culture in the City".
Independent Culture Month will offer the public a wide range of activities for all ages, among them those proposed by 149 cultural spaces selected from the last homonymous call, and of the 40 selected from the Independent Artists / Groups line that also participated. Through this initiative, that was part of Open Culture – a plan of more than 80 calls- Both these spaces and artists received financial support and will be part of the Independent Culture Month program. further, ten stages will be distributed in the public space and more than 40 shows in squares and parks of the City, and more of 190 free activities, so that the public can put together their own cultural agenda.
The activities will begin this Thursday of 16 a 19, with interventions at the Tronador station on line B of the subway, located on Avenida Triunvirato 3100.
The artists present will use various techniques, and there will be music shows, theatrical interventions and poetry reading.
