Starting this Friday, the City will start the Cultural Neighborhood Supply proposal, where the independent spaces of the sector will be able to have transitory pedestrian areas and thus schedule activities.

This initiative will take place every Friday (of 20 a 1 in the morning) and Saturdays (of 17 a 1), in order to enjoy a wide summer cultural proposal, for the entire family.

Abasto Barrio Cultural will begin with pedestrianized areas on Guardia Vieja street between Bulnes and Sánchez de Bustamante. The following weekends will be completed alternately adding Humahuaca Street between Bulnes and Gallo, and Zelaya street between Agüero and Jean Jaures. In total there will be nine blocks with pedestrianized areas that will alternate, reaching six blocks simultaneously from the second weekend, and that will benefit more than 15 cultural spaces.

On the other hand and within the framework of the celebration for the National Tango Day, This Friday, different tango shows performed by seven artists will also be presented., organized by the Ministry of Culture and in the pedestrian areas bordering the El Banderín bars, Zorra Bar and The Old Lair. It is important to note that in case of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled.

Likewise, the Culture area of ​​the City will open a call, whose selections will be announced at the end of December, so that all the independent spaces of the neighborhood can take their programming to three public spaces associated with the neighborhood beyond the pedestrian areas. Giving each space the possibility of programming up to three functions taking the public space as an open-air stage.

Tango shows for the day 11 from December:

Natalia Fures and Julieta Falivene: they will dance tango with a role-free proposal, including in the musical repertoire tango women of yesterday and today. They will be presented at El Banderín at 20.30 hs, and in La Vieja Guarida at 21.30 hs.

Juampy Ramirez, Julián Bruno and Adrián Rodríguez: a different proposal about tango. Breaking the typical postcard, respecting the essence, keeping the emotion. They will be presented at Zorra Bar at 20.50 hs, and in La Vieja Guarida at 22 hs.

Lucila Segura and Lautaro Cancela: will present a fragment of their work, adapted to weather conditions, space and technique. It will be made up of a recited poem and different danced pieces (Tango, Milonga Waltz) and a small scenery composed of a bench and dry leaves. They will be presented at El Banderín at 21.10 hs, and in Zorra Bar at 22.15 hs.
