The exhibition “Through the Mirror” by Germán Romani continues
The exhibition “Through the Mirror” by photographer Germán Romani is being presented at the PhotoGallery of the San Martín Theater..
This sample, which can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday 14 a 20 hours, presents a series of portraits of actors and actresses before and after playing their characters.
The exhibition focuses on theater and the transformation that actors experience in the dressing room, capturing intimate moments in front of the mirror. Romani explains: “I decided to go to the heart of the artist and what I consider his sacred space.”: the dressing room. There I found the element that, in my fantasy, catalyzes the process of entry and exit of the actor with the character and his mask: mirror".
Ruben Szuchmacher, theater director, contributed with the room text, highlighting the mystery and transformation that the actors experience when entering and leaving their characters. The exhibition allows the viewer to imagine “the middle photo”, the internal transformation that is not seen in the images.
