The exhibition “Wilenski, artist photographer” continues to be developed at the Museo del Cine, where you can enjoy a large collection of the renowned Polish artist.

Within this framework, images of artists such as Tita Merello will parade, Juan Carlos Thorry, Amanda Ledesma, Carmen Amaya, Pepe Arias, Liberty Lamarque, Paulina Singerman, Sofía Bozán and Silvia and Mirtha Legrand.

Wilenski came to the country from his native Poland in 1920 as a member of Iván Totsoff's theater company where he began to dedicate himself to photography.

He worked in the newspaper La Razón and then traveled to France, where he perfected himself for three years, to later return to Argentina and work in the magazine Sintonía.

He was a master in retouching negatives and later had students as admired as Annemarie Heinrich.. His characteristic was that once he touched up a plate, he signed it. This is how you can see in your file the difference between two shots taken at the same time, with or without retouching, that confirms his art as a retoucher.

The exhibition can be visited on Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday 11 a 19 hours and saturday, Sundays and holidays from 11 a 20 hours. General admission costs 100 pesos, except for retirees and university students (with accreditation) and under 12 years, who have free admission. No admission will be charged on Wednesdays.
