Within the framework of the retrospective dedicated to the director and actress Mariana Chaud, the Sarmiento Theater will present the play "English pudding".

The function will be the 28 October in the premises of Avenida Sarmiento 2715, with presentations that will be from Thursday to Saturday from 20. This work, presented by the Buenos Aires Theater Complex (CTBA) will be on the billboard until 13 of November, within the "Artist in Residence" program that takes place at the Sarmiento Theater and is coordinated by Vivi Tellas.

The cast of English pudding is made up of Maitina De Marco, Marcos Ferrante, Santiago Gobernori, Laura López Moyano and Elvira Onetto.

In "English pudding", reading is such an intimate activity that, developed over time, is building a kind of ecosystem who reads, that involves the personality, personal appreciation of the world, the way to speak, to relate, to actuate, to be passive, of wanting, to lie, to feel jealous. We could say that different ways of reading make up different personalities of readers.

Many of the texts that appear in the work were taken from interviews with real people: Marilís Serra, Adela Rozas, Mara Pescio and Mariano Llinás. The texts produced by them in the interviews have been used to create a fiction and for that they were deliberately taken out of context. further, the links that appear in the work are fictional, the situation is fictional and the characters named after them are a creation of the actors and do not try to look like the people themselves.

"English pudding" premiered in 2006 at the Teatro Sarmiento, within the framework of the Biodrama Project coordinated by Vivi Tellas for the Buenos Aires Theater Complex. The original cast was composed of Santiago Gobernori, Esteban Lamothe, Laura López Moyano, Marta Lubos and Elvira Onetto.
