The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Government of Mendoza, through the Máximo Arias Photography Space, dependent on the Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, summons artists and groups of artist photographers residing in the Province to “5to. Mendoza Provincial Photography Salon 2021”.

This traditional meeting will begin on 17 from December to 2021 in the "Máximo Arias Photography Space", located in calle Padre Jorge Contreras 1250 of the General San Martín Park.

In this edition, a First Acquisition Prize will be awarded for a value of 120 A thousand pesos, Second Prize Acquisition of 80 one thousand and three honorable mentions of 40.000 each one.

The Hall aims to promote the artistic-photographic activity of Mendoza, offer a partial look at the photographic languages ​​developed in the Province that includes classic proposals, modern and contemporary, increase the artistic heritage of the Province and award prizes and mentions as an instance of support, gratification and legitimation.

Since it is an acquisition award, which will become part of the Heritage of the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts "Emiliano Guiñazú" Casa de Fader, Works made with perishable or ephemeral materials will not be accepted, unless the jury considers that these can be rebuilt in the future.

The Hall will have the following instances: application of works via mail, selection of the works that will make up the exhibition, sample mounting, selection of awarded works, opening ceremony according to the epidemiological situation and awards ceremony.

Works within the framework of the expansion of techniques will be admitted, brackets, media and formats of current photographic and visual arts. Two-dimensional pieces will be accepted (Photographs), three-dimensional (installations, objects), audiovisual, digital and multidisciplinary, analog photos, digital, pinhole, retouched and any type of expression, within the field of photography, made with traditional media and disciplines, and / or experimental with the number of parts that the artist considers, provided they do not exceed the maximum dimensions established in the regulations.
