Call for the cultural spaces of Abasto
Within the framework of the Abasto Barrio Cultural initiative, the City of Buenos Aires opened a call that points to independent cultural spaces.
The slogan, driven by the area of Culture porteña, seeks that each of them can program their summer proposals in three emblematic points of the neighborhood.
This convocation, carried out with the support of the communes 3 Y 5, will be open until 28 December and those who want to participate must fill out a form by Click here!
The cultural venues must be located within a perimeter delimited by Córdoba avenues, Diaz Velez / Tte. Gral. Juan Domingo Peron, Gascón and Pueyrredón avenue.
Regarding the proposals, They must contribute to promoting the cultural participation of the residents of the City and artistic and cultural activity in the public space. They can be projects of artistic activities of a musical nature, editorial, theatrical, visual, audiovisual, dance and those in general linked to the art of the show, of creation and interpretation.
This call seeks to provide support to the artists and cultural managers of the Abasto in the development of their activities and to promote the area with a quality cultural offer in public space.
Proposals must be governed by the protocol for holding outdoor cultural events with the public in the City of Buenos Aires.. And adjust to functions of a duration of 50 minutes, to cover the time slots from 20 hours until 01:00 hours, considering three functions per night with minimum intervals of 45 minutes. Friday and Saturday from January to March 2021 in outdoor locations in the Abasto area to be defined by the organizer.
The call is to present up to 3 projects by space or establishment. The diversity of proposals will be valued for those who submit more than one, recommending the presentation of at least one project aimed at children (0 a 12 years) and / or associated with a guest cultural space that is not from the Abasto area.
The result of the selection will be announced from 5 January through the website https://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/cultura and on the social networks of Cultura BA (@bacultura on Instagram, @bacultura on Twitter and Cultura BA on Facebook). Activities will begin on 15 January and will end on 6 of March.
