Until the 18 from January, National artists will have time to participate in the residency program "Federal Laboratory 2021", that brings together various cultural disciplines.

Focusing on the visual arts and creative writing at the Eduardo Sívori Museum and photography and video art at the City Museum, The proposal aims to bring together emerging artists with other mid-career artists in the country to develop artistic projects.

The initiative, organized by the General Directorate of Heritage, Museums and Historic Center of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, in online and face-to-face mode, aims to link artists from all over the country, inviting them to inhabit artistic spaces in a collaborative and federal way.

Thus, It will seek to create links between institutions and their social and territorial environments with the concept of located museum, as well as encourage participation, accessibility and inclusion of the public in museums.

Registration is through an online form, and applicants must have 18 years and have an Argentine document, in addition to submitting your CV and a portfolio of at least five completed works.

A total of 10 artists for each residency, what will they receive 40 one thousand pesos each for the realization of unpublished works, linked to the topics addressed in the calls by each Museum with its collection, they report.

Artists who select creative writing and visual arts will work in conjunction with the Eduardo Sívori Plastic Arts Museum, and those who choose photography and video art will work together with the Museum of the City.

The jury will be made up of the two tutors from each residence: artist Marcela Sinclair and editor Julia Ariza for residency in visual arts and creative writing; and the artists Vivian Galbán and Estanislao Fiorido for photography and video art; as well as Martina Magaldi from the General Directorate of Heritage, Museums and Historic Town, the director of the Museum of Plastic Arts Eduardo Sívori Teresa Riccardi and that of the Museum of the City, Dolores Jaureguialzo. .

The first stage, virtual, will be between March and May and will consist of 12 meetings with tutors, teachers, curators and directors of each museum. The teachers will be Mindy Lahitte and the curator Guillermina Mongan, and the specific classes of each discipline will be in charge of Claudia del Río, the photographer Gian Paolo Minelli, Eugenia Calvo, Cynthia Edul and Editorial Iván Rosado.

The second stage, in person in the City of Buenos Aires, It will be between June and August where those selected will have a workshop space inside the Monumental Tower.

The artists must work on unpublished works that link the themes addressed in the calls for each museum with their collection.

On the other hand, participate in an agenda of public activities such as visits to cultural spaces, workshops and talks open to the community.
