Córdoba will celebrate Quartet Day via streaming
With a live broadcast from Super Deportivo, Córdoba will celebrate Quartet Day online, with the presentation of various artists.
The appointment will be this Friday (starting at 22), with the transmission that will be carried out through the networks of the Córdoba Culture Agency (Facebook Y Youtube), under the leadership of the announcer Matías Barzola.
As for the artists that will be part of the night, will be Lugones Duck, Beto Guillén, Fernando Bladys, Germain Reina, Dani guard, Ale Ceberio, Magui Olave, The Cat Noelia and the Black Videla.
On the other hand, the figure of Chébere will be honored, the quartet band with more than 45 years of experience that has become an icon of local music.
It is worth remembering that the Quartet Day is celebrated on 4 June as the date instituted by the provincial Legislature in 2013 through the sanction of the Provincial Law 10174 that recognizes the quartet as an integral part of the provincial cultural heritage and as a folkloric musical genre of its own, characteristic and traditional of the province in all its manifestations: music, letters and dances.
The date chosen for the approval of the law in the Unicameral commemorates the first radio broadcast of a quartet concert in the province. The 4 June 1943, The Characteristic Quartet Leo scored live, for listeners of LV3 de Córdoba, the catchy chords of the new beat, with resonances of the tarantella and the paso doble.
That radio transmission was the beginning of the massive diffusion of the quartet, converted, for years, in one of the main symbols of Cordoba's identity, a typical cultural expression in force throughout the provincial territory.
