“When Evil Stalks” was established as the best film
The Academy of Cinematographic Sciences and Arts of Argentina held the 18th Sur Awards and crowned “When Evil Stalks” as the most outstanding film.
The meeting took place at the Politeama Theater, and was hosted by Dalia Gutmann, with the musical direction of Damián Mahler.
The Career Recognition was awarded to Ricardo Darín, who gave a powerful speech: “Our activity generates thousands of jobs, and the income of large currencies. We all know that it can be managed better, with suitability, commitment and transparency. Art is one of the great contributions to our economy, and needs investment. This is a great opportunity, let's not let it pass, maybe it will be the last. less culture, less art, less cinema, less education, It is not a good equation for the future.. We already saw that”.
The night crowned “When Evil Stalks” as the Best Fiction Film, directed by Demian Rugna, who also won the award for Best Director. The film stood out in a competition where Argentine cinema showed its diversity and quality.
