Fourth edition of FuPeArte to benefit three hospitals

Of the 12 al 24 November the fourth edition of FuPeArte will be held 2020, the solidarity auction of the Argentine Pediatric Foundation (Fupea), including lots of established great masters and contemporary artists.

For auction, the artists, in addition to setting a lower price than the market price as a basis for his works, will donate the 50 percent of the sale of the works.

As indicated by the Foundation, through a press release, The proceeds will go to the purchase of protection elements for the patients and staff of the Garrahan Hospital, from Hospital Elizalde (Former Cradle House) and the Hospital de Niños Dr. Ricardo Gutierrez.

In this auction there will be works by Gregorio Vardánega, Rómulo Macció, Carlos Alonso, Guillermo Roux, Juan Mele, Santiago Cogorno, Vicente Forte, Quinquela, Eduardo Stupía, Leopoldo Fangs, Blas Castagna y Diana Dowek, among many others.

With 90 works of great artists, This edition will have an online format and you can participate from anywhere in the world.

In that sense, explained that FuPeArte is the only auction in Argentina in which the works are auctioned in Argentine pesos and announced that those who participate will be able to bid for first-level works that start with prices of bases of 8.500 pesos.

The basic prices with which the bid for each work will begin will be between a 30 and a 40% below market values. In this way, the game opens to new buyers.

Among the works that can be found in this fourth edition of FuPeArte, which is curated by Telma Satz, figure “Sant'Angelo castel”, a painting from the nineties by Rómulo Macció; a painting (no title, 1965-1970) by Gregorio Vardánega; a self-portrait in charcoal by Carlos Alonso, Y “Baco”, an intervened silkscreen by Guillermo Roux.

Also for example, by Eduardo Stupía, a drawing from the Landscapes series is presented, where he creates images in which the abstract and the referential coexist in the middle of a framework - the artist's unique calligraphy -. “Adjustment” it is a painting with wires, iconic image that Diana Dowek started working on during the dictatorship.

While a large hand-painted draft is auctioned by Andrés Paredes and by Martín Di Girolamo, two striking abstract paintings belonging to the Geo # 7A and Entro series. This last series arose from images of women that the author searched on the Internet and that account for contemporary female stereotypes.

Among the sculptures there is a piece in patinated iron from the series De la Ribera de Bastón Díaz: the artist creates the illusion of having rescued a hull of a boat from the bottom of the water. There is also a Carrara marble sculpture by Juan Pablo Marturano, artist trained in Argentina, Italy and Japan, who climbs the mountains to perform performative rituals that conclude with his marble sculptures.

Among the photographs there are works by Luis Abadi, with an image that approaches photography from a very contemporary perspective, and Fabiana Barreda, with a photograph belonging to his Eroticasiete series and an object from his Habitat project, among others.

The drawing is present with exquisite pieces like those of Ariel de la Vega, Eleonora Butin and Maximiliano D´Ettorre Negri.
