Da Skate announced the departure of his new record work
“Nefertiti” is the name of Da Skate's brand new studio album, the mercedine band that has almost 20 years uninterruptedly on the rock circuit.
Recorded in Buenos Aires, mixed and mastered in Chicago by Dan Wleklinski (recognized for having worked with Rise Against, 88 Fingers Louie), the new record has been released by the label X El Cambio Records.
Total, the band presents 14 songs that address various topics ranging from historical events to personal moments, going through stories and customs of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Before this new job, the group maintains that the name is inspired by the "queen pharaoh of ancient Egypt", whose name means "beauty has arrived". Within this concept, the band details that "she was a very strong personality in her civilization and together with her husband they started a new theological revolution.". I believe that current times have a lot in common with those of approximately 5.000 years".
Da Skate, formed in the Buenos Aires city of Mercedes, conjugates the hardcore, punk and skate culture, thus achieving songs in Spanish with different themes, mainly with a positive and resilience approach, questioning and questioning with each melody the imposed.
With 19 years of uninterrupted activity on the national scene, independently edited “Demo 2004” (2004), "Palace" (2012) and "Stalingrad" (2014).
Through the label Patea Discos he released "Bhopal" (2008), "Piacenza" (2010) and through Vegan Records “Seventeen”(2017).
Since the year 2018 He is currently part of the X El Cambio Records label, jointly editing “Tria Principia” (2018), "The Wheel of Temperaments"(2019), "The Thermal Death of Man"(2020), "The Theory of Septenios"(2021) and his recent release “Nefertiti”(2023).
The band shared the stage with bands like NOFX, Pennywise, Against Me, 2 minutes and life imprisonment among others.
Da Skate is integrated by; Leandro Flores (voices), Eugenia Valle (low), Marcos DiFederico (guitars, choirs), German Pace (drums) and Nicholas Malinowsky (guitars, choirs).
