Daniel García presents his fifth solo show at Mar Dulce

The artist Daniel García will return this month to the Mar Dulce Gallery, where he will inaugurate his fifth sample of paintings in small format.

Under the title "Pictures on a wall", this exhibition will start this saturday 10 September and will run until 22 October at the Uriarte venue 1490, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo.

In total, the exhibition will present 25 artist works, under a small format of 17×25 in acrylic on wall, where tributes to some artists that García admires such as Francis Bacon stand out (Ireland), James Whistler (USA), Marlene Dumas (South Africa), Max Beckmann (Germany) and Guillermo Kuitca (Argentina), among others.

On the other hand, the “walls” on which the works rest, have a similar origin, have been remembered from some old hotel room, inspired by artists such as Matisse or Vuillard, or simply invented.

Born in 1958 in Rosario, City where you currently live and work, Garcia exposes from 1981. He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions such as the 47th Venice Biennale, in 1997, VI Biennial of Havana (Cuba, 1997), 1º and 2nd Mercosur Biennial (Porto Alegre, Brazil, 1997 Y 1999) and «From Tip-Head», I Biennial of Fortaleza (Brazil. 2002).

Among his latest solo shows are: shanghai ladies, Osde Foundation, Rosario (2018) and Gachi Prieto Gallery, Buenos Aires (2019); small flower paintings, Mar Dulce Gallery, Buenos Aires (2019); identities, StudioG Gallery, Rosario (2020); figures, StudioG Gallery, Rosario (2020); encounters, Municipal Museum of Decorative Art Signature and Odilo Estévez (2021), and Trance and other paintings, Castagnino Museum, Rosario (2022).
